To find your Skype ID, follow these steps.
- You can check for your Skype ID by clicking on your profile icon.
- This is your direct Skype ID. This is what you should give to us instead of your Skype name or email address. In this photo, it shows an email address but this is what is registered on Skype and it is unique for this account. Meaning, there will be no other result that Skype will display if you search for this ID.
You can also check using the www.skype.com . Your Skype Name is in between Help and Sign out tab.
To make sure that your Skype ID is discoverable, check the security settings in your account on Skype for web.
If your Skype Name is not searchable, check your Profile settings. You may add or edit information in your Skype profile such as your location, email, or phone number to make it easier for your friends to find you. If you prefer not to be included in search and suggestions, then you can opt out here. Opting out will make you unsearchable in Skype, but people may still contact you if you have synced your address book or through matching via phone number, email address, or Skype Name.
- Sign in to Skype.
- Scroll down to Account details > Settings and preferences > Edit profile.
- On the next page, scroll down to Profile settings > Discoverability. Make sure the box is mark check. This will help people to find and add you on Skype.
